The  JLG Toucan 8E is the latest addition to the electrically-driven range of JLG vertical mast lifts known as the Toucan series, a series of vertical mast lifts with a durable appearance, designed to perform and delivering efficiency.

Enhanced Mobility
The highly compact Toucan 8E offers a working height of 8.15m with a horizontal outreach of 2.35m and accommodates two persons with both in- and outdoors capability. With its compact dimensions – 0.99m width and 2.10m length – the Toucan 8E is less cumbersome to manoeuvre through narrow areas. Additionally, the Toucan 8E has a large ground clearance of 10 cm and is able to travel over thresholds, small inclines and ramps. The maximum break-over angle and grade ability are 25°, which helps when loading the machine on and off trucks or trailers. The low weight and powerful AC drive give the Toucan 8E its ‘go more places’ capability on finished surfaces.
 
Delivering Efficiency
For the ultimate in quiet operation, the JLG Toucan 8E features direct electric drive. Through brushless motors, this provides ease of control, a smoother but responsive operation as well as zero emissions. Long-lasting 24V/180A batteries with a shorter charging time keep it up and running to ensure that the job gets done.
 
Overall Accessibility
The JLG Toucan series provide enhanced accessibility in many situations. Eight and ten meters working height are combined with up to a 3.10m outreach over obstacles and a 345 degree turntable to put more work areas within reach. This outreach is what makes the Toucan series so versatile. The jib that connects the platform to the mast provides a vertical movement, giving the Toucan series its up-and-over capabilities.

Available options
The Toucan 8E will be available with two different baskets – the standard 0.85x0.90m basket and an optional 1.10x0.90m XL basket. This XL basket provides ample space for the operator in the platform. In addition to the slide bar rear entry, the XL basket has doors on each side of the basket to facilitate easier loading of supplies into the platform, for example when working in retail environments where materials need to be carried to height and hung overhead.
